The Prize

The drawing for the prize will be this weekend at the lake. For those under 21 years of age, you get a special prize................. (Katheryn Ann). For all those that followed the blog that are over 21, the names go in a hat and we will let Joleen or Billie draw the name. Don't get your hopes up. It's not a Rolex watch.

Jim and Sandy

Local Flavor....Frenchtown

Sandy and I returned to Frenchtown this afternoon to see it in daylight. The restaurant Oceana where we ate a couple of nights ago is located in Frenchtown and we took a couple of photos of that. Anyone want to guess what the white and red building with the red roof is?

Frenchtown....Bella Blu (hyperlink)

While visiting the Frenchtown area, Sandy and I stopped at Bella Blu for an afternoon beverage. We met Dorene Carle, the publisher of "The Insider Restaurant Guide". We had a great conversation and it was fun to get an insiders perspective of St. Thomas.

Ferry back to St. Thomas (Wednesday afternoon)

The ferry holds anywhere from 30 to 40 vehicles. It looks like there are quite a few workers that commute from St. Thomas to St. John.

Annaberg Sugar Mill Ruins

The ruins are located on a hill just east of Leinster Bay. Incredible views and history.

Leinster Bay

The island in the background is the "West End" Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The body of water is known as the Sir Francis Drake Channel.
